Music Ministry:

While we have several choirs and musicians in the parish who offer their gifts to our Sunday assemblies, we recognize that the primary music ministry in the parish is that of the assembly.  When we lift up our voices in song, we express our unity and commitment to build the Reign of God together.  We acknowledge that music is integral to Catholic worship, and we seek to foster a community where everyone is welcomed and invited to join in the song.

We embrace a diverse repertoire of music ranging from Byzantine chant sung centuries ago, to the newest contemporary sounds.  We sing music from many nations, cultures, and styles, not only to better welcome and include the members of our assembly from different cultural backgrounds, but also to expand our perspective of the world church and its musical tradition of two thousand years.

We invite you to consider becoming a member of one of our choirs.  Please contact Meg at (440) 248-0980 ext. 25 or mmatuska@churchofresurrection.org if you are interested.
