Taizé prayer comes from the ecumenical community of Taizé, France, whose prayer is rooted in the simple repetition of meditative songs and chants. The prayer takes place in candlelight, and through meditation on music and scripture, participants experience the presence of God in their midst. Taize prayer is celebrated monthly at Resurrection.
