Finance Council
The Parish Finance Council and Parish Pastoral Council are the two councils in parish that offer advice to the pastor on the spiritual and temporal goods of the parish. The role of the Finance Council is to oversee the various parish financial accounts in collaboration with the Business manager. Through their experience in financial planning, public accounting, banking, fund raising and civil law, they provide the pastor with their best advice for the good stewardship of the financial resources provided by all of the parishioners. The Finance Council meets at least four times a year to review the budget, make recommendations on the Sunday Offering, Capital Improvement and maintenance Fund, Charity and Justice fund as well as any special gifts and donations offered to the parish. The Finance Council also reviews the State of the Parish booklet that is given to parishioners annually at the end of September.
While the work of the Finance Council focuses on the temporal goods of the parish, its ultimate objective and goal is to ensure that financial resources we have through the generosity of our parishioners is being used to provide ministry and service to parishioners as well as the wider community.
