Family Faith Formation

Welcome to Family Faith Formation at Church of the Resurrection!

Our program marks an exciting shift away from the traditional, classroom-based, "one-size-fits-all" model. Instead, we gather as entire families to experience the beauty of our Catholic faith together.

Our mission is centered on four core pillars:

• Return to the Source - the Mass: Grounding our families in the source and summit of our faith, the Eucharist.

• Parental as Primary Catechists: Equipping parents with the tools and encouragement to confidently guide and engage their children in the faith.

• Ministry of Accompaniment: Recognizing that one size doesn’t fit all, we walk together with creativity and flexibility meeting each individual where they are on their journey of faith and life.

• Family of Families: Connecting families to the wider, vibrant life of the parish, diocese, and global church community.

Our Primary Program: Sunday Family Sessions

These interactive sessions are designed for parents and youth to engage together. They serve as our primary faith formation offering for ALL youth from Kindergarten through 12th grade and their families. There will be 12 sessions from September through April during and after select 9:00 AM Mass until 11:30 AM. These sessions are for the entire family! Because faith is best lived in community, attendance at these 12 sessions is required for all participating families.

More Ways to Connect & Celebrate

Faith doesn't stop at the classroom door. Beyond our monthly sessions, we invite your family to share in our beloved parish traditions and seasonal events, including:

• Breakfast in Bethlehem / Live Nativity

• Lenten Mini-Mission / Living Stations of the Cross

• Parish Picnic / Parish Service Day

...and many more community celebrations throughout the year!

Have Teens in Grades 7–12? In addition to family sessions, your teens are warmly invited to dive deeper into peer fellowship through our dynamic Youth Ministry Program!

If you have a child receiving a Sacrament this year, please note that Sacramental Preparation involves separate group sessions held outside of the regular monthly family gatherings. Please visit the Sacramental Preparation page for more information about these programs.

For families with unique scheduling needs who are interested in an at-home option, we offer the Gospel Weeklies curriculum. Interested in At-Home Catechesis? Please contact the Faith Formation Office to see if this option is the right fit for your family.
