Welcome Ministers

Welcome Ministers are the welcoming presence of Christ when our community gathers for worship every Sunday. Combining the traditional roles of ushers and greeters, our welcome ministers help every person—visitor and parishioner alike—feel seen, valued, and at home in our church family.

Before Mass, Welcome Ministers warmly welcome people at the doors, pass out the bulletin, assist those with special needs, and help newcomers. During the liturgy, they provide practical support by guiding the offertory procession, assisting with seating during busy celebrations, and responding attentively to any needs that arise. After Mass, they remain available to answer questions, offer directions, and extend a friendly farewell.

Our Welcome Ministers serve as ambassadors of our parish, offering a spirit of hospitality which is one of the major hallmarks of the Church of the Resurrection.

If you have a welcoming heart and a desire to serve, we invite you to consider becoming a Welcome Minister. Your presence can make all the difference in helping others encounter Christ among us. Training is provided, and scheduling is flexible. If you are interested, please contact Julie Tragon at jtragon@churchofresurrection.org.
