Youth Ministry

Welcome to Youth Ministry at Church of the Resurrection!

Our program is dedicated to building a vibrant, supportive community where teenagers can encounter Christ and deepen their Catholic faith. In addition to our foundational Family Faith Formation Program, teens in 7th through 12th grades are invited to connect, grow, and serve through a variety of exciting opportunities:

• High School Hangs (HSH): A welcoming space for fellowship, fun, and building authentic community with peers.

• “Arise” Scripture Study: Our new youth Bible study designed to help teens dive into God’s Word and apply it to their daily lives.

• Youth Mission Trips & Service Projects: Life-changing opportunities to step outside our comfort zone, encounter Christ in others, and put our faith into action.

• Retreats: A chance to step away from the noise of everyday life to unplug, recharge, and encounter God through powerful prayer experiences, small groups, and deep fellowship.

Faith in Action: Ambassador Opportunities

Because living out the Gospel through service is central to our mission, we offer Ambassador Opportunities. These allow our youth to serve our parish and wider community while earning the service hours required for school or other activities.

RETREATS

• Grades 7-8:Saturday, November 14th - 5pm Mass with 7/8 Retreat until 10pm

• Grades 9-10: TENTATIVE DATES: Saturday, February 27th 1pm to Sunday, February 28th 2pm, at Camp Asbury Retreat Center in Hiram, OH

• Grades 9-12 CLE 2:16 Diocesan Youth Conference Saturday, January 9th - at John Carroll University in University Heights

• Grades 6-8 CLE: MIDDLE School Youth Conference Saturday, February 6th- at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe

TEEN AMBASSADOR OPPORTUNITIES

(Service Hours) Grades 7-12

• Thursday, September 24th – 7pm Discussion on the Constitution (teen help host)

• Saturday, October 24th – 5pm Mass followed by Costume Parade / Blessing / Trunk or Treat to 7:30pm (teens help with cider, pizza, donuts, & games)

• Saturday, December 19th – 5pm Mass with Live Nativity (7-12 teens and catechist arrive at 4pm)

• Sunday, February 28th & Monday, March 1st – Parish Mission (looking for HS babysitters)

• Friday, March 12th – 6pm Bread & Soup meal with 7pm Living Stations (7-12 teens arrive at 5pm)

• June 6th, 7th,14th, 21st – Mission Mondays

• June TBD – Youth Mission Trip to Appalachia
