Trivison Scholarship Fund

Scholarship History

To celebrate Church of the Resurrection’s 25th anniversary and to honor the retirement of founding pastor, Fr. Louis J. Trivison, the Trivison Scholarship was established in 1996 to support Catholic education of young people in the Diocese of Cleveland, particularly in the inner city neighborhoods.

Purpose

The purpose of the fund is to provide solely for the education of the students during the school day as determined by the school principal. While vouchers now assist with tuition, they do no cover the entire cost of education or any pre-school education.

Participating Schools

Now in its 30th year, the fund supports St. Aloysius-St. Agatha School in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood.

Distribution Policy

An annual appeal to the parish is made in October. Whatever is received in donations to the Trivison Scholarship Fund in one calendar year is distributed in the subsequent year.

Oversight

The Trivison Scholarship Fund falls under the purview of the Resurrection’s Charitable Giving Advisory Board.

Donations

Checks can be made to Church of the Resurrection, with Trivison Scholarship Fund in the memo line or online.
